Washington Winter Show 2023

7 • Jane Scott Hodges, tastemaker and lifestyle authority, over mimosas and waffles for “The Art of Living with Linens”. • Aldous Bertram, our inaugural artist-in-residence, during a signing of his book Dragons and Pagodas: A Celebration of Chinoiserie. This year’s loan exhibit, Bunny Mellon: Patron and Participant in the Creation of Art and Beauty flawlessly embodies the theme of the Show and provides a rare opportunity to view some of Bunny Mellon’s most treasured pieces. From her creative projects with painters, sculptors and designers to her personal collections she acquired across her life — the exhibit epitomizes the art of curating. We are extremely grateful to Oak Spring Garden Foundation for providing these unique and extraordinary objects and sharing the many facets of Mrs. Mellon’s creativity and style. During the past year, the unending enthusiasm, support, and direction of the Washington Winter Show’s Board of Directors has proven to be both encouraging and indispensable. Without the Board’s dedicated leadership, along with our extraordinary dealers the Show’s continued success would not be possible. We would like to thank Puffin Travers, the Board President, and Jonathan Willen, the Executive Director, for their guidance and leadership. Our tremendous gratitude also goes out to each of our remarkable volunteers whose collective talents and assistance is second-to-none. Thank you to our speakers, contributing writers, and artist-in-residence. The programming surrounding the Show would not be possible without your time, expertise and commitment to supporting our mission to serve our charities and foster community. We are extremely grateful to PNC Private Bank for its fifteen years of support as our presenting sponsorship. We truly appreciate PNC’s generous and ongoing commitment. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors, benefactors and patrons for their support to the Show and continuing the mission of our charities. Ten years ago, we served for the first time as volunteers on the Saturday Lecture Committee and are so deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Washington Winter Show community over the last decade. We welcome you to the 2023 Show and look forward to meeting you across the weekend. With much appreciation and gratitude, Sarah Brennan McKenna & Daryl A.
