MONUMENTAL COOLER MADE BY A.P. DONAGHHO & SON The applied block lettering and decoration of children throwing dice on this rare West Virginia tanware cooler are unique to this piece and illustrate the talents of the Donaghho pottery artists. This decoration is attributed to the Donaghho master potter, Dan Mercer (1865–after 1905). The cooler was made for Harman Bros Whiskey Merchants in Staunton, Virginia. Circa 1900, 30.5" tall.
